社交媒体批判声音有存在必要 安华:掌权者不应阻挠

邻国马来西亚人民公正党主席安华(Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim) 认为,社交媒体是公共討论、针砭时弊的最佳平台,政府不应多加管控。

根据邻国《东方日报》报道,安华在“2019年社交媒体週”致辞时,认为掌权者不应阻挠社交媒体上的言论自由。

安华曾是烈火莫熄运动的精神领袖,如今也是波德申国会议员。

“为推动国家进步,社媒上的討论与批判声音有存在必要,这是言论自由的体现,政府或掌权者不应阻挠。”他说道。

社交媒体旨在监督当朝政府

安华强调,社交媒体的角色,不是当权者的传声筒,旨在监督当朝政府,理应对监督政治人物是否随着人民意愿执政。

他表示前朝政府试图以法限制社交媒体的言论自由,这是错误的示范。他还说:“只有贪腐及丑闻缠身的政府,才会想方设法干预社媒,因为他们倍感恐惧。“

“庆幸的是,前朝政府只控制得了主流媒体,无法管控社媒,人民才能了解许多真相。”他感慨说道。

发文前需三思而后行

不过他也提醒人民在使用社交媒体时,需要三思而后行,发文前多想想是否有违社会正义、人道精神等,避免散播仇恨言论。

安华引述日前纽西兰基督城枪击案与斯里兰卡连环爆炸案,当如同美国言论自由过高,仇恨言论就会四处流窜。

他随后也在推特(Twitter)上发帖,说明应有法律清楚规定确保社交媒体不煽动暴力与仇恨言论。
