By A motorcyclist was killed in a fatal accident which took place at Newton flyover, which involved a tipper truck and a motorcycle at around 4.55pm on Thursday.

LTA posted a tweet about that caused a heavy congestion until Chancery lane. Motorists were advised to avoid right lane.
This is the second accident within 24 hours which involved a tipper truck and a motorcycle. On early Thursday (1 December) morning, a fatal accident claimed a life of a motorcyclist who was being run over by a tipper truck took place along Woodlands Centre Road near the junction of Admiralty Road.
Road.sg also warned road users earlier about these blind spots of heavy vehicles.
“Many have the misconception that if they can see the truck, then the driver can see them. This is entirely untrue and somebody is going to get hurt,” it wrote.
