Singaporeans can save even more on hotel bookings with these Agoda credit card promotions. Use them for your next holiday!

First published on 14 July 2016. Credit card promotions updated as of 2 November 2016.

2016 is coming to its tail end, but there’s still plenty of time for you to finalise your December holiday. Take advantage of special deals by booking your trip early, and consider using a credit card to do so – there’s a chance you can get a discount on your hotel booking!

To help you with your planning, we’ve rounded up all the Agoda credit card promotions in Singapore.

1. UOB Credit Cards: Up to 8% Off Hotels in Japan and Korea

You’ll get 8% off selected hotels in Japan (Tokyo and Osaka) and Korea (Seoul, Busan and Jeju Island) if you book online, for a stay period until 31 Mar 2017. Take note that you have to make the booking within the month of November 2016 to take advantage of this promotion.

For hotel bookings anywhere else, you can get 7% off hotel bookings worldwide when you use a UOB Platinum card (which include PRVI Miles, YOLO, Lady’s Card, and Delight Card). All other UOB credit cards get an additional 5% off hotels. This promotion is only valid for bookings made up till 31 December 2016, though.

We recommend using the UOB YOLO Card to book your trip, as you can earn 3% rebate when you book on Agoda. It also comes with a generous 8% weekend dining rebate plus a number of 1-for-1 restaurant deals.

This can save you as much as S$60 per month when you eat out in Singapore and book your hotel!

Booking Period:

  • For 8% discount – Now until 30 Nov 2016
  • For up to 7% discount – Now until 31 Dec 2016

Stay Period: Now until 31 Mar 2017

2. DBS/POSB Credit Cards: Up to 8% Off Hotels in Australia and New Zealand

If you’re looking to make a trip to the southern hemisphere, Agoda gives DBS and POSB cardholders 8% off hotel bookings for stays in Australia (Perth, Melbourne and Sydney) and New Zealand (Christchurch and Auckland). You’ll need to book your trip from now till 30 November 2016, but your stay period is valid up till 30 June 2017.

Looking for stays somewhere else? Agoda provides all DBS and POSB platinum cardholders (including the DBS Altitude and Black Card) with an additional 7% off hotels worldwide. Other DBS and POSB cards get 5% off hotels. The discounts are eligible for bookings made up till 31 December 2016, with stay period up to 30 June 2017.

Can’t decide which DBS credit card to use? Look no further than the DBS Visa Altitude card, for the simple reason that you earn 3 miles for every S$1 you spend on online travel bookings. This means that a S$2,500 booking at Agoda can earn you 7,500 miles!

Booking Period:

  • For 8% discount – Now until 30 Nov 2016
  • For up to 7% discount – Now until 31 Dec 2016

Stay Period: Now until 30 Jun 2017

3. Citi Credit Cards: Up to 8% Off Hotels in Singapore and Europe

Use your Citibank credit card to book an Agoda hotel stay from now till 30 November 2016, and you’ll enjoy 8% off selected hotels in Singapore and Europe (London, Paris, Madrid and Rome). For hotel stays anywhere else in the world, Citi cardmembers can enjoy a 5% discount. If you don’t have the Citi PremierMiles Card yet, consider getting it to make your travel bookings.

It comes with a generous welcome offer of 15,000 miles the very first time you use the card. Once you spend S$10,000 within three months, you’ll be awarded another 27,000 bonus miles!

What’s more, you’ll earn 10 Citi Miles per S$1 spent on travel booking websites (yes, including Agoda), so you’ll be racking up ticket redemptions in no time.

Booking Period:  Now until 30 Nov 2016

Stay Period: Now until 30 Jun 2017

4. OCBC Credit Cards: Up to 8% Off Hotels in Korea, Taiwan and Malaysia

Planning a trip to Korea, Malaysia or Taiwan? Use your OCBC card to make a hotel booking on Agoda and you’ll get 8% savings. Do note the limited booking periods for this offer, though (see below).

Your OCBC credit card will also get you 5% discount should you choose to book a hotel anywhere else. Just be sure to book by 31 December 2016 to qualify for the offer.

We suggest booking with the OCBC Frank Card, which earns a cool 6% cashback on online shopping, including flight tickets and hotels! Not to mention that you can choose from over 120 awesome card designs.

Booking Period:

  • For 8% discount (Korea) – Now until 14 Nov 2016
  • For 8% discount (Malaysia and Taiwan) – Now until 30 Nov 2016
  • For 5% discount – Now until 31 Dec 2016

Stay Period: Now until 31 Mar 2017

5. Maybank Credit Cards: Up to 8% Off Hotels in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam

Maybank cardholders looking to make a nearby getaway will enjoy 8% off hotel stays in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. To benefit from this offer, just make your booking on Agoda’sMaybank deals page. For hotels anywhere else in the world, your Maybank card will entitle you to a 5% discount.

Try the Maybank Visa Infinite Card for your bookings to earn 5X TREATS Points (equivalent to 2 air miles) per S$1 on air tickets, travel packages and purchases involving foreign currencies. This card also gives you free airport lounge access when you charge at least S$400 on flights or travel packages three months before your travel date.

If you prefer to earn air miles instead, the Maybank Horizon Platinum Card will also give you 8X TREATS Points (equivalent to 3.2 air miles) per dollar spent on selected Agoda bookings.

Do note that you can only pick either the hotel discounts, or to earn air miles.

Booking Period: Now until 31 Dec 2016

Stay Period: Now until 31 Mar 2017

Don’t Forget the Terms and Conditions

Note that these Agoda card promotions come with similar terms and conditions.

First, you can only get these deals if you make the booking on each bank’s Agoda landing page (we’ve linked to them above). The deals are also valid only for participating destinations and the selected hotels with the “Promotion Eligible” banner.

Finally, you must settle the payment with your credit card provider to enjoy the promotion rate. And as with any credit card transaction, make sure to pay your bill in full and on time to avoid interest and enjoy maximum savings.
