F-16 makes emergency landing at Changi Airport

The Ministry of Defence (Mindef) said A Republic of Singapore Air Force F-16 fighter jet had to make an emergency landing at Changi Airport on Tuesday (July 12) night. No one was injured.

The jet which was on a routine training flight made the “precautionary landing” at 8.16 pm.

While the aircraft has been removed from the runway, Mindef did not release more details on the causes including why the emergency landing has to be made in the civilian airport when Changi Airbase is located less than 5 km away.
