A supporter of former Opposition Member of Parliament Chiam See Tong has collected the Certificate of Eligibility forms for Chiam, with the hope of him making a bid for President.
The supporter, a 27-year-old who wanted to be known only as De Costa, told Yahoo! Singaporethat he did not discuss the matter with Chiam or his wife, Lina Chiam, beforehand.
The ex-Potong Pasir resident collected the forms at theElections Department at about noon on Thursday and passed the forms to the couple on Thursday evening at their Meet the People session.

Mr Chiam has since announced that he will not be contesting the Presidential Election.
