MND announces all TCs excel in operational performance; Sengkang TC given ‘Amber” rating in S&CC Arrears Management

The Ministry of National Development (MND) revealed that all town councils in Singapore achieved a “Green” rating for Estate Cleanliness, Estate Maintenance, and Lift Performance in the Fiscal Year 2022 TCMR Operational Report. However, Sengkang Town Council received an “Amber” rating in S&CC Arrears Management as the monthly collectible S&CC for the town overdue was slightly more than 40% of total collectible even though less than 4 in 100 households that owed arrears for three months or more.

Workers’ Party-run Sengkang Town Council opens new branch office, as it assumes direct management

Sengkang Town Council’s new office, operated by the Workers’ Party, opened on 18 March 2023. The event was attended by council guests, community partners, and featured speeches, performances, and a tour of the facility. The direct management of Sengkang Town follows a similar situation that the Aljunied-Hougang-Punggol East Town Council faced in 2011.
