HDB’s new Single Room Shared Facilities model for low-income singles has raised concerns over the practicality of sharing bathrooms during possible pandemics.

While HDB has appointed an operator to manage the site, one netizen believes enforcement and CCTV are needed to ensure that tenants follow the rules.

Some have also suggested allowing tenants to rent a unit together for a reasonable price, rather than sharing facilities.
