Malaysian minister unveils alleged corruption scandal involving immigration officers at KLIA airport, MACC investigating
A Malaysian minister’s controversial intrusion into KLIA’s international arrival hall on Thursday (29 June) following corruption allegations involving immigration officers has caused a stir.
The incident involved the detention of a Chinese tourist who was allegedly demanded to pay RM18,000 (approximately 3,853 USD) for her release, as stated by the minister.
The Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has confirmed an upcoming meeting with the minister and the Chinese national involved in the case.
