RDU invites Singaporeans to join their 3rd Anniversary Fundraiser Gala Dinner on 24 June

On 26 May, Singapore’s burgeoning political party, Red Dot United (RDU), celebrated its third anniversary.

In honour of this significant occasion, RDU is extending an invitation to its supporters and the general public to attend their 3rd Anniversary Fundraiser Gala Dinner. This grand event is scheduled for June 24 at the Mouth Restaurant, located at 38 Maxwell Rd.

Founded by 11 passionate individuals on 26 May 2020, Ravi Philemon, Secretary-General of RDU said the party started with a vision to make a positive impact on Singapore’s political landscape.

“We encountered mixed views, with some questioning our place in Singapore’s politics. However, when we contested in Jurong GRC during the 2020 General Election, we proved that there was indeed space for RDU.”

“Our presence brought competition to Jurong Group Representation Constituency which would have gone uncontested otherwise, ” Mr Philemon also expressed his gratitude for the support and appreciation received from tens-of-thousands of Singaporeans who cast their votes for RDU.

RDU received 31,260 votes in Jurong GRC where they contested for the first time in GE2020.

Over the past three years, RDU has grown steadily and now boasts a strong team of 150 dedicated members and volunteers involved in various aspects of ground operations, communication, and policy research.

“Our work is rooted in values such as sustainable economics and building a fairer society, ” he said.

To mark their third anniversary, RDU cordially invites supporters and Singaporeans to join their Gala Dinner.

“Support for a political party like RDU is crucial to build a vibrant and robust democracy, ” said Mr Philemon.

“It promotes representation, fosters checks and balances, encourages policy innovation, amplifies the voices of marginalized groups, and ensures the adaptability and renewal of the political system.”

Reservations can be made by emailing RDU at [email protected] or contacting 88064365 (WhatsApp). Reservations will be on a first-come-first-served basis, and the dinner offers both Halal and non-halal cuisines.

The price for a table of 10 is set at $588, while individuals can join the dinner for $68.
