A woman in Singapore was caught on video telling a food delivery rider to take another lift as she refuses to share the same lift with the deliveryman, citing the pandemic as the reason.

According to the timestamp of the footage, captured from a head-strap camera mounted on the deliveryman’s helmet, the incident took place on Friday morning (23 July) at around 8.29am.

In the 47-second video, which was shared on ‘Beh Chia Lor – Singapore Road‘ Facebook page, the deliveryman can be seen making his way into the lift of a residential building but was cut off by the woman, who told him to wait for another lift.

When asked why, the woman replied: “I don’t share lift. I come here first, okay.”

She then gave a stern telling-off to the deliveryman, telling him to stop pressing the lift button.

“Let go of your hand. There’s a next lift there,” said the woman.

The deliveryman pressed further, asking her why he cannot enter the lift with her, to which she replied: “I said I don’t share lift, okay. I know you have a camera. It’s pandemic.”

The woman’s response left the deliveryman baffled and irritated.

“What pandemic? You are horrible, you know,” he uttered as the doors of the lift were closing.
