Tanjong Pagar GRC to watch for in the next General Election; Opposition parties should go for it!
by Rudy Irawan Kadjairi
The group representation constituency (GRC) to watch in the next General Election (GE) will almost definitely be Tanjong Pagar. For this can be no doubt.
The Opposition should gather their resources, agree to form an effective, solid coalition with their best candidates; individuals with poise, stature, character, intellect, charm, confidence, gumption, and wherewithal to bid a challenge for this battleground which will prove to be the ruling party’s central core.
The Opposition should mount a serious presence in the area as soon as possible and go for a charm offensive on a stronghold for the People’s Action Party (PAP) that has never been lost, but showing signs of possibly entertaining fresh new faces and ideas, amidst an arrogant leadership which continues to show no remorse for failures or shortcomings, while displaying brazenness in silencing its harshest critics and opponents.
I would say to the Opposition parties – go for it!
And for Singaporeans who crave for a better government, a more dynamic politics that will drive a more dynamic Singapore and a more compassionate leadership, we should all do our part to convince the Tanjong Pagarians of the important role they play in the whole scheme of things.
Why not?
