French luxury label Louis Vuitton will have its first full-fledged physical fashion show in Singapore amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, despite its recent fashion weeks in Paris, London and Milan having gone fully digital.

ST reported on Friday (19 Mar) that the Louis Vuitton Women’s Spring/Summer 2021 Spin-Off show is set to take place at Singapore’s ArtScience Museum on Tuesday (23 Mar).

The fashion show will be divided into three slots – at noon, 4 pm and 7.30 pm.

Only 112 guests will be allocated to each slot, in which they will be given Louis Vuitton face masks and are required to sit at least 1m apart.

Guests will be segmented into zones and safe distancing ambassadors will be deployed at the venue.

ST highlighted that safe management measures, such as temperature checks and SafeEntry scans on arrival, will also be implemented during the show. All surfaces will also be sanitised between the shows.

There would be 41 models walking the show unmasked, which will be at least 3m away from the guests.

All the models and the backstage crew, including hair and make-up artists, will also be segregated into zones.

The fashion show will be featuring a total of 69 looks from the spring/summer collection which were presented in a “distanced” show in Paris last October by Louis Vuitton’s womenswear artistic director Nicolas Ghesquiere, and a Summer Capsule collection.

Members of the public are also able to watch the final show, which will be live-streamed on Louis Vuitton’s website.
