【国会】全东南亚首间 国防部斥资9千万元设最高安全级别实验室
国防部长黄永宏医生称，为提升应对生物威胁的能力，国防部将斥资9千万元，把现有国防科技研究院（DSO National Laboratories，简称DSO）的实验室，提升至生物安全四级。
目前，国防科技研究院的生物安全级别为第三级（BSL3）。经提升后，也意味着我国拥有全东南亚拥有第四生物安全级别的实验室，预计将在2025年底投入运作。
在今日（1日）的国会拨款委员会辩论，黄永宏称从SARS、炭疽菌（anthrax）、沙林（sarin）等生化或疫情，就已建立应对能力，也在应对此次冠病疫情发挥作用。
但他认为，将来无法保证不会面对比冠病19更严重疫情，或是更严重的生化攻击。而依靠他国并非明智做法，而应建设自身的防护能力。
他称生物安全级别四级的实验室的设立，将咨询海外专家，国防科技研究院也将与卫生部合作确保四级实验室能具备最高防护标准。
