20米大树倒下女子当场丧命 公园局称最后一次检查是去年4月
今早（18日）在马西岭公园发生一起不幸事故，一棵20米高的异叶南洋杉（Araucaria excelsa tree），倒下压死38岁女子，当场丧命。
民防部队是在约8点15分接获投报，发现有人被倒下的树压着，立即用切割器锯开大树救出受困女子，遗憾的是已无法抢救，医护人员当场宣告死亡。
事故发生后，还有在场民众试图帮忙，但即使有10人合力试图抬起，都无法移开大树。
据国家公园局，公园及康乐总监梁志超博士指出，这棵树最后一次接受检查是在去年4月，当时大树情况仍然健康。当局仍在调查大树倒下的原因。
他对于事故感到难过，也强调目前将优先协助死者家属。
