Native ad platform, popIn Discovery, has reached a new milestone of 600 million monthly pageviews in Thailand, becoming the largest native ad platform in the country, the company announced on Thursday (21 January).

popIn Discovery is owned by a University of Tokyo-based venture company, popIn Inc, which was founded by an information science and technology student Tao Cheng in July 2008.

The venture company merged with Baidu, the largest search engine in China, in May 2015.

popIn Discovery offers one-stop native ad delivery throughout Asia including in Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mainland China, and Indonesia.

It first entered Thailand in May 2019, with Line Thailand, Thairath and Kapook as its major partners.

In a statement today, popIn revealed that the platform’s pageviews growth rate had increased sixfold from January to December last year which mainly attributed to its partnerships with “a number of high-quality, local media sources”.

It added that the sales for popIn Discovery have also increased by 28 times from January to December last year.

With the new milestone of 600 million monthly page views in Thailand, popIn Discovery became the largest native ad platform in Asia, following its success in South Korea last December.

“popIn endeavors to continually expand its high-quality native ad network by partnering with additional leading media sources, while at the same time providing new features to match users’ needs,” it noted.

The native ad platform had previously reached 10 billion monthly page views in July last year.
