A kind-hearted man came to the rescue of a cat that was stuck somewhere along the Kallang–Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) tunnel.

In a 44-second video posted on TikTok last Wednesday (6 Jan), a man can be seen walking towards a seemingly frightened cat sitting by the shoulder of the highway.

He then carefully picks up the cat, and heads back to his car to bring the poor feline to safety.

The caption of the video read:

As it turns out, this video is an old video, which dated two years back.

Facebook user Muhammad Andhika revealed in a comment on our Facebook post that the rescued cat in the video is currently under the care of him and his wife after they adopted it from the foster home of Nur Iman Cats two years ago.

“The kind lady helped to settle all of the [cat’s] expenses and care for it while she was abandoned,” he added.

According to Muhammad Andhika, “all is well” with the rescued cat, whose name is Kippy.

He went on to say that “Kippy is best friend with Ginger”, another abandoned cat whom they adopted.

Facebook post raises awareness of financial strain from requests for extra utensils and dishes for Singapore hawker stores

A Facebook post by a Singapore hawker’s nephew has raised awareness of the financial strain that hawkers face when customers request extra utensils and dishes. Limited storage space, low prices, and the need to wash bowls after closing time can make it difficult for hawkers to provide extra items, which can cut into their profits.
