副总理兼财政部长王瑞杰，在个人脸书透露将在明年2月16日，在国会发表2021年财政预算案，目前已在筹备中。 他指出打从过去几年，在年初发表财案预算几乎已成为“传统”，2020年也不例外，但是今年有别于以往，除了年度财案，还发表了四次预算案和两次部长声明。 “为了支援我们的工友、企业和家庭渡过疫情，我们推介了几次援助措施。” 尽管目前已在筹备2021年财案，疫情受控、疫苗接种也在进行，不过整体的前景仍充满不确定，这种现象似乎还会持续一段时日。 他表示，若经济能返回正常轨道，那么会有个较为“传统”的财政年，但即便情况恶化，他相信政府仍能做好准备作出回应。
