As of Friday noon (4 Dec), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed three new cases of COVID-19 infection.

This brings the total number of infection cases to 58,242.

Amongst the new cases today, 2 are asymptomatic and were detected from screening and surveillance, while 1 was symptomatic.

There are no new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection.

All of the new cases are imported cases, who had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

Amongst the 3 imported cases, 1 (Case 58455) is a Singaporean and another (Case 58458) is a Singapore Permanent Resident who both returned from India. They had already been placed on SHN upon arrival in Singapore and were tested while serving SHN.

The remaining case (Case 58456) is a Short-Term Visit Pass holder from India who is here to seek medical treatment for an existing condition not related to COVID-19. He was conveyed to the hospital in an ambulance upon arrival in Singapore and isolated.

There are no new cases linked to clusters today.

Update on condition of confirmed cases

7 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 58,152 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

There are currently 28 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and none is in the intensive care unit. 33 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.

29 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
