脑麻痹患者疑遭歧视 到商场逛街却被保安当乞丐赶走

本地一名作家、也是脑性麻痹患者的黄忠龙(Wesley Wee),在商场逛街时遭遇保安赶走,甚至被认为是乞丐,在逛街时不断被保安跟随。

黄忠龙22日在脸书上发文,指在董厦(Tangs Plaza)的诗家董(Tangs)商场购物时遭保安无理对待。

他表示当时在逛街时,一名店员看见了他后非但不愿意帮他,还叫了保安。保安到现场后,立即赶他走,还示意他不要打扰别人。

黄忠龙表示,自己去逛街是因为有东西想要买,却遭到保安的骚扰,还一路跟随,好似被保安当成乞丐。

“我只是想买东西,我不是乞丐”,黄忠龙感叹。

他也表示,当下确实非常生气,心里很想让保安失去工作,但他也了解失业的痛苦,所以他也无意将事情闹大,决定原谅对方。

贴文一出也引发许多网民的关注,网民也要求诗家董作出回应。黄忠龙也在留言区回应,指董厦的经理也已经与他取得联系,目前已圆满解决,发文也只是要抒发个人情绪。

诗家董随后向《8视界》回复称,公司目前已了解了事情原貌,并将在内部展开调查。与此同时,公司也向当事人表达歉意。

公司发言人续指,由于保安必须确保公众遵守社交距离,尤其是周末,而当天人潮不少,因此保安人员才会提高声量,却容易被误解为无理行为。

诗家董也提醒保安团队,以及每位服务人员需尊重每名顾客。

脑麻痹作家黄忠龙天生患大脑性麻痹,导致他行动上诸多不便,言语表达也大受影响,但他没有放弃人生。

他于2017年出版的英文原著《Finding Happiness Against the Odds》获得不小回响,已经卖出了1万本。

一年之后,黄忠龙的中文版新书《逆境寻乐——和脑麻痹抗战的得胜旅程》。
