As of Wednesday noon (4 Nov), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed seven new cases of COVID-19 infection.

This brings the total number of infection cases to 58,036.

There are two new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection.

“Based on our investigations so far, both reside in dormitories and there are no new cases in the community,” said MOH.

In addition, there are five new imported cases, who had already been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

All new cases today are asymptomatic and were detected from screening and surveillance.

There are no new cases linked to existing or new clusters today.

Update on condition of confirmed cases

1 more case of COVID-19 infection has been discharged from a community isolation facility. In all, 57,938 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

There are currently 44 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and none is in the intensive care unit. 26 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.

28 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
