To ensure proper safe distancing, Singapore Red Cross (SRC) will be implementing crowd control measures at its upcoming community blood donation drives this week.

In a Facebook post on Monday (19 Oct), SRC said that donors with appointments will be given priority, adding that it will do its best to attend those with appointment at their appointed time slot, though waiting time may still be expected.

“Walk-in donors may experience additional waiting time. Should we encounter overwhelming response at the donation sites, we seek your understanding that we may not be able to accept walk-ins,” it added.

SRC encourages blood donors to call 6220 0183 to make an appointment for their nearby community blood donation drives.

The community blood donation drives are scheduled to be carried out this week from 11am to 5pm at these locations: Solaris on Wednesday (21 Oct); Yew Tee Community Club (CC) on Thursday (22 Oct); and Nee Soon East CC on both Saturday (24 Oct) and Sunday (25 Oct).
