Dead body pulled out of Marina Reservoir near The Promontory
A dead body was recovered from the Marina Reservoir near The Promontory on Monday morning (19 October) following a call made to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) for a water rescue assistance around 8.44 am.
According to a report by Strait Times, the man was seen wearing just a pair of shorts as he was pulled out of the water.
When SCDF first arrived at the scene, the saw no signs of a person the water. As such, divers were deployed from the Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (DART) to search the water. They eventually found the body about two meters out.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic.
Police said investigations are ongoing.
