Progress Singapore Party (PSP) is setting up a pro-bono legal clinic for residents in West Coast Group Representation Constituency and Pioneer Single-Member Constituency.
PSP chief Tan Cheng Bock said in a Facebook post on Thursday (15 October) that the initiative was birthed out of residents’ need for legal advice on various matters, ranging from tenancy disputes to employment contracts to family law matters such as divorce.
Such findings were made while his team had walked the ground, he said.
“Thank you to all the volunteers who have come forward to initiate and organise this outreach,” Dr Tan said.
The legal clinic, he noted, is specifically for “residents who would not otherwise be able to afford such advice” and “will not cover investment or business-related matters”.

PSP on Tuesday said that residents seeking to use the service should “fill out the necessary information” in the form “so that our lawyers can familiarise themselves with your issue ahead of the appointment”.
“The more details provided, the better prepared our lawyers would be to address your issue.
“Upon registration, an appointment time would be arranged for you to meet with one of our lawyers. The session would be on a one-to-one basis for 20 minutes,” said PSP.
