全面最低薪金制“不仅为道义” 毕丹星:渐进薪金制八年仅涵盖三行业
人力部长杨莉明和职总秘书长黄志明昨日(11日)傍晚在脸书上发文,宣布将扩大渐进式薪金模式(Progressive Wage Model,简称PWM),以涵盖更多员工,同时还需维持他们的受雇能力。
清洁、园景和保安领域的近8万名员工。在渐进式薪金模式下,规定每年加薪幅度,使他们收入有所增加。为了让更多员工受益,职总向政府建议,在垃圾管理领域推出渐进式薪金模式。
不过,国会反对党领袖、阿裕尼集选区议员毕丹星,也对此表达看法。他认为,尽管政府增强版的最低薪资制度,纳入职业升迁和生产力的考量,但是这种在特定领域落实的模式,实施起来还是太慢了,也过了八年时间。对于其他领域的新加坡工友显得更久。
“这些工友可以等多久?”对此,毕丹星则建议政府,落实不同行业的渐进式薪金模式同时,也实施落实以1千300元为基薪、普及化的最低薪资制,并定时检讨两者的效率。
他也重申,最低薪金制普及化,让所有国内工友受惠,不仅仅是道义上的责任,更关乎国民团结,且符合现今的经济大环境。
“这也是阐述何为新加坡人的立场,以及我们社会的真正尺度,在于我们如何对待最弱势的群体。”
毕丹星也重申,在近期《商业时报》的一篇报导, 也显示不少雇主实则愿意支持合理的全国性最低薪资制。
“我希望雇主、企业、职总和政府,对这议题的考量应超越金钱的价值,而是作为国家团结的基础。”
