A 23-year-old man was injured from slash wounds on his head and face after being attacked with knife at a supermarket in Boon Lay Shopping Centre on Wednesday (7 October).
It appears that this incident happened at an NTUC FairPrice outlet in the shopping centre, and posts on online forums like Reddit and HardwareZone showed long trails of blood on the floor and shelves of the outlet.
Based on posts that went online, at least two men were involved in the attack, and one of them was left injured with a deep cut across his forehead.
Videos posted online also showed a number of people were around the injured man as they were helping to apply bandages on the wounds.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said that the victim was conscious when he was brought to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital for treatment. It added that an 18-year-old teenager was arrested over the attack.
“On 7 October 2020 at 12.40pm, the Police were alerted to a case of voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapon at 221 Boon Lay Place,” a spokesman from SPF told the Straits Times (ST).
He added, “A 23-year-old man was attacked by another man with a knife. The 23-year-old man suffered injuries to his face and head and was conscious when conveyed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. Police investigations are ongoing.”
Additionally, an Singapore Civil Defence Force spokesman said it received a call for help, and it took a person to Ng Teng Fong Genera Hospital.
Separately, a FairPrice spokesperson told to Mothership that its store operations were not affected.
“We are aware of the incident that took place outside our store at Blk 221 Boon Lay Place on 7 October 2020 at about 1240pm. Our staff rendered immediate assistance and ensured that the safety of our shoppers was not compromised. Our store operations remain unaffected.
“We are unable to comment further as police investigations are ongoing,” the spokesperson said.
A boon Lay resident who was present at FairPrice outlet at the time of the incident said to ST that he heard shouting from a few aisles down.
The man, who did not want to be named, said that when he came to the supermarket aisle, he saw a young man “covered in blood”.
He expressed, “It was so scary – there was blood everywhere”.
Another resident who was at FairPrice around 12.50pm said that she saw “three to four” supermarket staff helping the young man, who was covered with blood, to sit up.
“He was bleeding from his head and hands. It was really horrifying because the blood was dripping from his mouth too,” said the woman in her 60s, who wanted to be known as Madam Low.
