骗取政府疫情援助金 二男涉谎报个资面控
为了骗取政府的冠状病毒19疫情薪金补贴和短期援助金，两名男子涉嫌谎报个人资料。
警方在官网发文告指出，两名分别20岁和36岁的男子因涉嫌谎报个资，于昨日（10月1日）被控上庭。
20岁的被告涉嫌谎报薪金，以假资料申请短期援助金，其中有两次是以个人名义，有六次则是以父母或朋友的名义进行申请。八次申请中，社会及家庭发展部一共批准了五次申请，让被告获得了2500元的援助金。
此外，被告还有其他的控状，包括涉嫌远程赌博，以及欺骗一名友人的SingPass资料，以进行短期援助金申请。
36岁的被告曾两度申请社会及家庭发展部的短期援助金，但都提供假资料，还伪造裁员信件。而在申请冠病疫情薪金补贴，被告则伪造薪金单。被告之后获得当局所发放的500元短期援助金，但是冠病疫情薪金补贴申请却不获批准。
