因为对消费者提供不准确信息或施加不必要的压力,三家美容院和理发院在去年1月至今年8月接获90起客户投诉,于日前承诺停止有关欠缺公平的行为,签署自愿遵守协议(Voluntary Compliance Agreements)。

新加坡消费者协会于今早(10月6日)发文告指出,不少消费者投诉,指有商家在销售配套时采用过于激进的销售手法,甚至消费者面对美容及理发院在未获得他们的同意下,向他们收取额外费用。

甚至在某些情况下,业者的说辞会让消费者以为自己是支付了配套的促销价格,岂知过后却被要求购买更昂贵的配套。

三家签署了自愿遵守协议的美容院和理发院,包括了Organic Salon、The Four Season Beauty Saloon和TCM Wellness。其中,Spacio TCM Wellness所接获的投诉最多,共有38起。

另一家同样接获众多投诉的美容院Natural Beauty Resources,因为还没签订自愿遵守协议,其案件就交由新加坡竞争与消费者协会(CCCS)处理。
