After a case where a molester was sentenced to probation, it drew public anger. However, the most important thing to Minister Shanmugam is this: Don’t cast aspersion on the judge!

In the most recent case where a maid is acquitted after being sentenced to jail prior, this was Minister Shanmugam’s main concern: NO WITCH HUNT!

And it is now easy to see what the source of our problems is. It is this guy sitting in his ivory tower.

I strongly disagree with our esteemed law minister. A witch-hunt is precisely what we need. All these “witches” that are so busy screwing up the system need to be rooted out.

If there is no witch hunt, then you might as well tell us Singapore no more blame culture! Their pain and regret is punishment enough!

You see, everybody makes mistakes. Including judges! The question is, when you make a mistake, do you come clean about it? Or do you cover it up, pretending nothing ever goes wrong?

In Singapore, when the system makes a mistake, no one is allowed to say anything about it. They tell you to sit down, shut up, and mind your own business.

Don’t point fingers! Don’t anyhow say! Don’t criticise! And don’t demand apology!

But what happens if someone does say something bad about it? Well, take a good look at what happened to Li Shengwu and Jolovan Wham.

You see, the system is made up of people. And people make mistakes, and then people learn from their mistakes, and that’s how they improve!

When you have some high and mighty overlord shushing people up, and handing out punishment to those who dare speak up, how the hell is any of them able to improve?

They only way for the system to improve is for the people running it to ADMIT they are wrong, WHEN they are wrong, and then LEARN from it!

If they are not willing to admit wrong when they make mistakes, if they are are not willing to improve, then I think there is only one thing left for us to do. Remove the obstructions completely.

To quote a very famous line from a very famous person: “The rot is at the top.”
