As of Thursday noon (24 Sep), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed an additional 15 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.

Amongst the new cases today, 13 are asymptomatic and were detected from proactive screening and surveillance, while 2 were symptomatic.

This brings the total number of infection cases to 57,654.

There are no new cases in the community.

However, there are five new imported cases, who had all been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

Of the new cases, 73% are imported or linked to known cases/ clusters, while the rest are pending contact tracing.

MOH stated that it has been monitoring existing clusters for any further transmission. As there have been no more cases linked to the dormitory at 15 Kaki Bukit Crescent for the past two incubation periods (i.e. 28 days), the cluster has now been closed.

No new clusters were identified.

Update on condition of confirmed cases

42 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 57,333 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

There are currently 28 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and none is in the intensive care unit. 266 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.

27 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
