As of Thursday noon (10 Sep), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed an additional 63 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.

This brings the total number of infection cases to 57,229.

Amongst the new cases today, 56 are asymptomatic, and were detected from the screening and surveillance, while 7 were symptomatic.

There are two cases in the community, of whom one is a Singaporean and one is a Work Pass holder.

There are six imported cases, who had all been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

Of the new cases, 97% are imported or linked to known cases/ clusters, while the rest are pending contact tracing.

Two new clusters identified

  1. 26 of the newly confirmed cases are linked to nine previous cases to form a new cluster at Avery Lodge Dormitory (2D Jalan Papan).
  2. Eight of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at PPT Lodge 1A (8 Seletar North Link).

Update on condition of confirmed cases

66 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 56,558 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

There are currently 47 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and none is in the intensive care unit. 597 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.

27 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
