As of 16 August 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed an additional 86 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.

This brings the total number of infected cases to 55,747 cases.

According to MOH, the vast majority of whom are Work Permit holders currently under quarantine.

Based on MOH’s investigations so far, there are 2 cases in the community, of whom 1 is a Singaporean and 1 is a Work Pass holder.

In addition, there are 6 imported cases, who had all been placed on Stay-Home Notice or isolated upon arrival in Singapore.

陆路交通管理局证实,当局一名居住在马来西亚柔佛州的职员确诊感染武汉冠状病毒(COVID-19)。 《8视界》报导,该名男职员每天往返陆交局上班,而日前他的家人在马国确诊,尽管他没有出现症状,马国当局也在上周五(6日)向他发出居家通知的指令,自此后就不曾上班。 随后他也在马国确诊,目前正在柔佛州实施隔离治疗,情况良好。 目前当局已对他所在的工作地点进行彻底清理与消毒,并要求曾跟上述职员接触过的员工在家办公。目前暂未有人出现呼吸道疾病症状。
