台湾前总统李登辉病逝 享年98岁
台湾前总统李登辉，于本月30日晚间7时24分，在台北病逝，享年98岁。
今年2月，因喝牛奶呛伤，引发吸入性肺炎，住院近半年，状况也起起伏伏；他生前也曾罹患大肠癌，有心脏病、糖尿病等问题。
他曾是台湾最有权势的政治人物。1988年，接替离世的蒋经国就任总统。直到1996年，在台湾首场民主选举胜选，继续当总统到2000年离任。
李登辉出生于日治时期的台北淡水郡三芝庄，为台湾客家人后代。自小在台湾接受日式教育，1943中学毕业前往日本就读京都大学农业经济系，日文名字是岩里政男。
1965年，李登辉赴美，于康乃尔大学工读农业经济博士，学成后返台回到当时的农复会工作，开始步入政坛，并受蒋经国赏识，此后政途平步青云，先后出任台北市市长，中华民国台湾省政府主席，并在1984年获蒋经国提拔，担任副总统一职。
