Red Dot United (RDU) has announced the restructure of its Central Executive Council (CEC) and its future outreach activities in Jurong Group Representation Constituency (GRC) following its unsuccessful maiden contest in the General Election 2020.
CEC Restructure
Secretary-General Ravi Philemon said in a press release on Monday (27 July) that he had received suggestions from Singaporeans in the 20s – 40s demographic and the party had taken them to heart while planning for the future of the party.
First restructure will be Nicholas Tang, a 28-year-old legal engineer and a candidate in GE 2020, who will be the Organising Secretary of RDU.
He will share leadership responsibilities with Mr Philemon and chairman Michelle Lee.
The other two members who contested in Jurong GRC, Alec Tok and Liyana Dhamirah, will also take on more responsibilities within the party.
Mr Tok will spearhead RDU’s fundraising efforts, while Ms Liyana will head the welfare department.
Constituency Division of Labour
Called the #JurongPlan, the RDU has split the constituency into five divisions which will be led by one party member each as Division Representative. Outreach work is set to begin in mid-August with RDU’s volunteers.

National Level Outreach
RDU plans to hold regular discussions and forums on important issues that affect the political, economic and social landscape of Singapore.
One of its first post-GE2020 forums, which will be held in September, will touch on the topic of “Free and Fair Elections”.
The discussion plans to focus on how the nature of elections in Singapore has changed over Singapore’s history and constructive suggestions to move towards a better system of representative democracy for the nation.
