As of Wednesday noon (22 July), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed an additional 310 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.

This brings the total number of infection cases to 48,744.

There are seven cases in the community. Of these, three are Singaporeans/Permanent Residents, while four others are Work Pass holders.

In addition, there are six imported cases who had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

MOH shared that the vast majority of the new cases are Work Permit holders residing in dormitories.

Of the new cases, 98% are linked to known clusters, while the rest are pending contact tracing.

The ministry stated that the Inter-Agency Task Force has been systematically and progressively clearing dormitories through aggressive testing of migrant workers residing in dormitories. The following dormitories have been cleared, and now house only recovered individuals and those who have recently tested negative for COVID-19 infection. As such, the clusters have now been closed.

  • Cochrane Lodge II (49 Admiralty Road West);
  • Hulett Dormitory (20 Senoko Drive);
  • Shaw Lodge (12 Shaw Road);
  • Tampines Dormitory (2 Tampines Place);
  • 31 Sungei Kadut Avenue; and
  • 230 Woodlands Industrial Park E5.

  1. 15 of the newly confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at a dormitory at 7 Kian Teck Crescent.
  2. One of the newly confirmed cases is linked to six previous cases to form a new cluster at a dormitory at 2 Tech Park Crescent.
  3. Five of the newly confirmed cases are linked to three previous cases to form a new cluster at a dormitory at 12 Tech Park Crescent.
