GE2020 Results: Workers’ Party secures stronghold Hougang SMC again with 61.19 per cent of votes

The Workers’ Party (WP) succeeded in securing its stronghold constituency Hougang GRC again this year with 61.19 per cent of the votes.

WP’s Dennis Tan beat the People’s Action Party (PAP) Lee Hong Chuang, the latter of whom garnered 38.81 per cent of the votes.

A total of 15,416 votes went to the WP while 9,776 went to the PAP in Hougang SMC.
