The Workers’ Party (WP) succeeded in securing its stronghold constituency Aljunied GRC again this year with 59.93 per cent of the votes.

The winning team comprises Pritam Singh, Sylvia Lim, Faisal Manap, Gerald Giam and Leon Perera.

They beat the People’s Action Party (PAP)’s Chua Eng Leong, Shamsul Kamar, Alex Yeo, Chan Hui Yuh and Victor Lye, the latter of which garnered 40.07 per cent of the votes.

A total of 85,603 votes went to the WP while 57,244 went to the PAP in Aljunied GRC.
