Progress Singapore Party (PSP)’s West Coast GRC team led by Dr Tan Cheng Bok conducted a walkabout on Saturday (4 July) at the Ayer Rajah Food Centre and Market, which is the PSP Secretary-General’s old stomping grounds. He was MP for Ayer Rajah for 26 years from 1980 to 2006 when it was a single-member constituency.
The rest of the PSP’s five-man team include Leong Mun Wai, Hazel Poa, Jeffrey Khoo and Nadarajah Loganathan.
There were a group of supporters gathered, holding the PSP’s mascot Otica, waiting for the arrival of Dr Tan and his team. They began to cheer and chant “Welcome Home” and “Homecoming” as they saw Dr Tan.
While there, PSP candidates ran into their PAP opponents and exchanged pleasantries, stopping for photos as well.
