PSP’s Kumaran Pillai shares HDB resident’s concern on spalling ceiling
The Progress Singapore Party (PSP) candidate for Kebun Baru SMC Kumaran Pillai took to his Facebook on Thursday (2 July) to share a video of a HDB resident whose ceiling in his HDB flat was spalling.
According to Mr Pillai, the resident who goes by name Mr Bose had asked for help from the previous Member of Parliament for Kebun Baru SMC, however “no action was taken”.
He also revealed that HDB officers had visited Mr Bose but no further action had been taken.
“He is afraid for the safety of his wife and kids. The electrical wires and tubelight are seen dangling from the ceiling,” Mr Pillai wrote on his post, adding that it also poses a fire risk to the neighbourhood.
