【选举】林绍权宣布退选
人民行动党推出的准候选人之一林绍权备受群众质疑，遭网民抨击实为“精英主义者”，且“很好练”。尽管林已在今日（27日）中午发文回应，不过在晚间即宣布不再参加此次选举。
昨日就有网民发起网络联署，”拒绝林绍权出战2020选举“，短短两天内就累计超过1万5000人联署，截至晚间9时许更突破两万人；不过仍有一些与林绍权相熟的友人或同事，站出来为他辩解。
他原本在裕廊选区基层服务了一段时日，但自从24日亮相后，这位吉宝岸外与海事总经理，却被一些网民起底，有者指
指林在新加坡武装部队服务时“表现得高高在上”，与其展现的朴实形象不符合。
另一名自称是林绍权新加坡理工学院同窗，兼吉宝岸外公司同事的网民，更指林绍权“傲慢且冷漠无情”。
据知目前行动党已接受了林的辞呈，相信会再委派其他候选人参选。林绍权称问心无愧，但为了不干扰行动党竞选布局，而选择退选。
