People’s Voice (PV) chief Lim Tean announced yesterday (24 June) that his party will be contesting Punggol West SMC, and earlier this morning (25 June) he has provided update on his Facebook page.
Mr Lim revealed that PV will be fielding a total of 12 candidates for the coming General Election, adding that the decision of the final list of constituencies was made after “discussions and constructive talks” with the members of other alternative parties – including Progress Singapore Party (PSP) and Red Dot United (RDU).
The constituencies that PV will be contesting are Jalan Besar GRC, Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC, Pioneer SMC, Mountbatten SMC, and Punggol West SMC.
He added that the 12 candidates will be making their introduction before the Nomination Day on 30 June.
Apart from that, on behalf of PV, Mr Lim hopes that the unified spirit from the alternative parties will see a “resounding and historic victory” on 11 July.
“We will therefore be fielding a total of 12 candidates for the GE and they will make their introduction before nomination day.
No Party has given more to Opposition Unity than PV has, and we hope that this unified spirit will see all the Opposition parties to a resounding and historic victory come 11 July!”
