As of 8 June 2020, 12 pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed an additional 386 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.

This brings the total number of infection cases to 38,296.

MOH shared that the vast majority of whom are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories. There are two cases in the community, of whom one is a Singaporean and the other is a Work Pass holder.

Epidemiological investigations are ongoing for the 2 cases in the community today. Both were symptomatic, and had been tested after seeking medical treatment at Public Health Preparedness Clinics.

There are no imported cases today.

Of the new cases, 99% are linked to known clusters, while the rest are pending contact tracing.

Four new clusters identified

  1. Six of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at a dormitory at 216 Tagore Lane.
  2. 10 of the newly confirmed cases are linked to seven previous cases to form a new cluster at a dormitory at 9B Tech Park Crescent.
  3. Five of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at a dormitory at 16 Tech Park Crescent.
  4. Seven of the newly confirmed cases are linked to 18 previous cases to form a new cluster at a dormitory at 115 Tuas View Walk 1.

Update on condition of confirmed cases

482 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 25,368 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

There are currently 269 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and 4 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

12,634 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.

25 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.

【武汉冠状病毒】3月1日增四起病例 第93例家属、缅甸籍女佣确诊

根据卫生部文告,截至3月1日中午12时,本地新增四起武汉冠状病毒(COVID-19)确诊病例,其中三起与此前发现的新感染群Wizlearn Technologies有关联。 第103起病例时37岁女公民,曾在21日至23日前往巴淡岛,也是第93例的家人,以及与101例有关。 当局确认她是第93例(38岁男公民,也是Wizlearn Technologies职员)家人后,已令她在上月26日隔离。 上月29日,她反映她在20日已出现症状,并在25日求诊。她立即被送往国家传染病隔离,并在今早确诊。在入院前她也曾在位于武吉巴督工业园A区的 Asia Asset Recovery 公司工作,并待在武吉巴督31街的住处。 第104例是25岁缅甸籍女性,是103例的家庭女佣,也曾与前者一同前往巴淡岛,并一同在上月26日被当局命令隔离。29日她反映自己在23日就出现症状,并立即被送往隔离,并在今早确诊。 第105例是49岁男公民,与Wizlearn Technologies有关,因此早在上月27日已被令隔离。29日他向当局反映在上月26日出现症状并曾到诊所求诊,为此立即被送往国家传染病中心隔离。…
