As of Thursday noon (4 June), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed an additional 517 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.

This brings the total number of infection cases to 36,922.

There are 15 cases in the community. Of these, two are Singaporeans/Permanent Residents, while 13 are work pass holders.

All 15 cases are asymptomatic. They are close contacts of earlier confirmed cases and have already been placed on quarantine.

There are no imported cases today.

Of the new cases, 99% are linked to known clusters, while the rest are pending contact tracing.

Four new clusters identified

  1. Three of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at a worksite at Kampong Bugis.
  2. Four of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at a dormitory at 212 Tagore Lane.
  3. Three of the newly confirmed cases are linked to one previous case to form a new cluster at a dormitory at 63 Tuas South Avenue 1.
  4. One of the newly confirmed cases is linked to two previous cases to form a new cluster at a dormitory at 109 Ubi Avenue 4.

Update on condition of confirmed cases

322 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 23,904 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

There are currently 303 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and 5 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

12,691 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.

24 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
