毕丹星展示区内改建临时宿舍 入住客工需接受冠病检测
为减少客工宿舍内的群居密度，早前政府宣布将在今年底之前，先改造目前无人使用的旧校舍、工厂厂房等，以及兴建速成宿舍（Ouick Build Dormitories，简称QBD），安顿部分客工。
其中一所位于友诺士区的旧校舍–务能中学旧校舍（Bedok North Secondary School ）改建为临时宿舍。
5月20日，负责友诺士区事务的工人党阿裕尼集选区议员毕丹星，曾介绍教育部正在该校舍进行筹备工作；而昨晚（2日）他在脸书分享照片，显示经改建的课室，已布置好床位、柜子、饮水机等基本设备。
图中可见一间课室内有十个床位，且都是单人床。和早前国家发展部和人力部联合文告，公布的客工宿舍新标准相符。
毕丹星指出，他在昨早接到通知，了解务能中学旧校舍将在昨日起，分批次接收客工。
“被分配来此的客工，包括那些经已从社区护理设施或医院康复出院的。”
针对居民询问，毕丹星也解释，这些安顿在此的客工都需要接受冠病19检测确保没出现症状。
再者，那些要返回社区工作的客工，也同样要接受检测；在建筑领域的客工复工后每两周需接受检测。
