MOH confirms 518 new cases of COVID-19 infection; Total tally at 34,884

As of Sunday noon (31 May), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed an additional 518 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.
This brings the total number of infection cases to 34.884.
There are 2 cases of community infection, both are Singaporeans/Permanent Residents, while another 516 cases involving Work Permit holders residing inside and outside dormitories.
There are no imported cases today.
Of the new cases, 99% are linked to known clusters, while the rest are pending contact tracing.

One new cluster identified

  1. 11 of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at a dormitory at 128 Tuas South Avenue 3.

Update on condition of confirmed cases

972 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 21,699 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.
There are currently 321 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and 8 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
12,841 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.
23 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
