“棉花出在羊身上？” 陈振声口误称我国没足够绵羊生产棉花
“棉花出在羊身上”? 贸工部长陈振声在一项视讯记者会上，在发言时出现口误。当谈及有关新加坡口罩生产的问题时，他指出新加坡无法生产医疗口罩所有的部分，例如我们没有足够绵羊出产棉花（“don’t have too many sheep in Singapore to produce cotton”）。
在访谈中，他提到医疗口罩有六个部分，但我国无法生产所有的部分，“我们没有绵羊生产棉花、不织布可在裕廊岛生产，但制造不织布所需的石化产品、具防水特质的疏水性表层、橡胶圈等，则来自其他地方。”
他坦言我国没有天然资源来制造这些部分。
不过，陈振声也在今日（31日）在脸书发文，表示当自己被告知在记者会上出现上述口误，也感到哭笑不得，并强调棉花肯定来自棉花树。
他表示，自己也一直在思考其他的生产替代原料，包括来自绵羊的羊毛等，不幸的是，我国即没有生产棉花，也没有绵羊。
