As of Saturday noon (9 May), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed an additional 753 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.
This brings the total tally of infected cases to 22,460.
There are 11 cases of community infection (9 Singaporeans/Permanent Residents, 2 Work Passes), 3 cases involving Work Permit holders residing outside dormitories and 739 cases involving Work Permit holders residing in dormitories.
There are no imported cases today.
Of the new cases, 93% are linked to known clusters, while the rest are pending contact tracing.
Nine new clusters identified

  1. 10 of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at 3 Buroh Lane.
  2. Five of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at 9 Defu South Street 1.
  3. Six of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at 44 Kaki Bukit Industrial Terrance.
  4. 10 of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at 45 Kaki Bukit Place.
  5. Three of the newly confirmed cases are linked to five previous cases to form a new cluster at 20 Kranji Road.
  6. 21 of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at 2 Pioneer Sector Walk.
  7. Five of the newly confirmed cases are linked to 24 previous cases to form a new cluster at 69 Tuas South Avenue 1.
  8. Two of the newly confirmed cases are linked to 31 previous cases to form a new cluster at 3 Tuas View Circuit.
  9. 25 of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at 212 Woodlands Industrial Park E5.
Update on condition of confirmed cases
256 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 2,296 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.
There are currently 1,124 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and 23 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit. 19,020 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.
20 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
