Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Inter-Religious Organisation’s 70th Anniversary Gala Dinner at the Fullerton Bay Hotel on Mon (Aug 26).

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is set to address the nation later this afternoon at 4pm.
In a Facebook post on Fri afternoon (3 Apr), Mr Lee said the speech will be broadcast via television and radio, as well as on his Facebook page.

The PM assured ahead of the upcoming announcement that Singapore’s food supply is “secure and adequate”.
“Buy just what you need, and share any extra you have with those who need it,” he said.
Mr Lee added that Singapore has responded to the COVID-19 crisis “calmly and systematically, planning ahead and adjusting our measures as the situation changed”.
“The current situation is under control, but we want to take a few more steps now,” he said.

This evening’s address will mark the third time Mr Lee addresses the nation regarding the COVID-19 situation.
