Singaporean ridesharing company, Grab has just announced that it will be suspending its GrabShare service temporarily from Sunday (9 Feb), 1am onwards due to the latest Novel Coronavirus developments

The Ministry of Health has just announced seven new confirmed cases of the novel Wuhan coronavirus on Saturday evening. Two of the seven cases were identified as a taxi driver and a private-hire car driver.

MOH said that it is working with the Ministry of Transport to reach out to all taxi and private hire car drivers on the steps they should take to protect themselves in the course of their work.

The company shared that its other services such as JustGrab will still be available during this period and added, “We appreciate your understanding while we work closely with the relevant authorities to monitor the situation.”
