此前,新加坡政府为防堵新型冠状病毒扩散,要求曾到过中国的本地公民、永久居民或拥有长期签证者,返国后需采取预防措施和申请两周缺席假(LOA)

不过有鉴于中国疫情局势,国家发展部长黄循财表示将加强措施,政府对于那些领缺席假的人士将同样严格,包括将透过电话、视讯和突击检查,确保当事人呆在家没乱跑。那些没遵守指示者将被惩处。

人力部长杨莉明在日前国会表示,目前约3万名持有工作准证的中国籍公民仍未返回,若返回新加坡,他们很可能将会被要求请假隔离。

对此黄循财表示,若员工需放缺席假,雇主可为每名员工获得每日100元辅助,自雇人士则会直接获得辅助款项。

“我们也要求雇主,需在中国员工返新前通知人力部,我们才能错开他们抵达日期”。此举相信是为了避免返新客工大批涌入。

至于那些在寻找居所有困难的客工,他表示政府将与雇主合作,以为那些需领缺席假的工友寻找住宿。

我国跨部门工作小组是在上月31日宣布,那些曾到过中国游客将不得入境或在新加坡过境,同时也暂停签发签证给持中国护照人士。
