The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has directed NTUC Fairprice Co-operative Ltd, to recall Tesco Green Pesto and Tesco Reduced Fat Green Pesto following a food recall alert on the products by the United Kingdom Food Standards Agency (FSA) last Saturday (11 Jan) due to an undeclared allergen, peanut, on their product labels.

The recall by NTUC, the importer, is ongoing, noted the authority.

The authority also advised consumers who have purchased the affected products, and who are allergic to peanut, not to consume it.

Consumers may contact the importer, NTUC Fairprice Co-operative Ltd, at 6552 2722 for enquiries and for exchange or refund of products.
